A diversified livelihood gives household a number of income options to rely on, making them more income and food secure. Examples of diversification options performed in other Kenyan climate change adaptation programmes were beekeeping, improved production of small livestock and crop diversification (Macoloo, Recha, Radeny, & Kinyangi, 2013).
